Insight alone is step one. But insight with action?  That’s what changes everything.

Meet Dr. Leah Levenson, Psychologist in Charlotte, NC, and all PsyPact-eligible states.

Lately, it feels like life is running you—not the other way around.

You’ve got so many roles to play as a parent, a partner, or a professional, and right now, it feels like you’re failing at all of them. Maybe you’re in the endless loop of trying to “do more,” yet no matter how hard you try, it’s never enough. You’re snapping more than you want to, shutting down when things get too loud, and stuck in the same old fights or thought loops you swore you were done with.

Maybe life just threw you a curveball—parenting challenges, a major change, or a full-on identity crisis. Or maybe it’s just been building over time. Either way, you feel unsteady, unsure, and totally disconnected from the person you used to be.

You don’t need a therapist who just nods and asks, “How does that make you feel?” You need someone who helps you figure out what to do next.

That’s what I’m here for.

HOW I WORK

When you sit down with me, we’re not just talking—we’re problem-solving.

Sure, we’ll figure out what’s going on, but we won’t stop there. I’m all about action: breaking things down, finding what’s getting in your way, and figuring out real steps to help you move forward. I’ll meet you with kindness and a good sense of humor, but I will also be real with you. If something isn’t working, I’ll call it out, and we’ll explore it together.

My sessions are collaborative and flexible. One day we might get deep into the emotional weeds; the next we’re walking through exactly how to handle your kid’s latest meltdown or just how to get through the rest of the day when you’re already running on empty. I pull from real-world tools (CBT, ACT, behavioral strategies, mindfulness, you name it)—but I don’t get locked into any one model. We use what works, and we leave the rest.

No cookie-cutter protocols or one-size-fits-all methods—just what’s going to help you.

Whatever you’re walking in with—parenting stress, anxiety, major life changes, or the feeling of being “stuck” in the same cycle—we’ll tackle it together, and probably find a way to laugh a little along the way. I’ll gently challenge you when you need it, help you spot the patterns in your way, and make sure you leave each session with something real and useful you can carry into your life.
